Valerie’s House provides a safe, supportive environment for children and families who are grieving the loss of a loved one. Through peer support groups and family programs, participants learn healthy ways to process grief, build coping skills, and connect with others who understand what they are going through. Services are offered at no cost to families, ensuring every child has access to support during one of life’s most difficult experiences. Proceeds from our fundraising efforts will help expand access to these programs and support local families in need.

The Animal Welfare League of Charlotte County works to protect and care for homeless and abandoned animals in our community. The organization provides shelter, medical treatment, and adoption services while also promoting responsible pet ownership through education and outreach programs. Their work not only saves animals but also strengthens families by helping pets find safe, permanent homes. Funds raised by the Leadership Charlotte Class of 2026 will support daily care, medical services, and adoption efforts for animals awaiting their second chance.
